How better to show your pride in America than by sporting this patriotic flutter dress. The whole family wore our colors to celebrate America's independence. We were so excited to go to the parade in Harrisburg. Unfortunately, we showed up a little late. There we were sitting solo on the side of the road waiting for the parade to start and wondering where all the people were. I know it's been rainy, but there was a break in the clouds and the sun was out, momentarily. Of course the fire ants were out as well. Yikes! Waiting. Still waiting. Finally, a man in a scout uniform passes by. My father says, "Um, excuse me, can you tell us what time the parade starts?" Ready?
His response, "It was 2 hours ago." That's right, we missed it! We had been snapping pictures, waving our flag, and obviously looking rather silly as traffic passed us by. What can I say, we are really on top of it! We hit up Sonic and had a cold, tasty treat to cool us off and then headed back to the house to prepare for our cook out. Better luck next year.
